Every data point in CS 2.0 is a four-dimensional primitive. It tells you not just what the value is, but how fast it's changing, whether that change is accelerating, and how confident we are.
Add readings and watch certainty propagate. When combining values, certainty compounds multiplicatively — a chain is only as certain as its weakest link.
| Dimension | M | V | A | C | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ↑Soil Carbon (t/ha) | 42.0 | +1.2 | +0.3 | 0.92 | |
| ↓Water Quality Index | 78.0 | -0.8 | -0.1 | 0.85 | |
| ↑Biodiversity Score | 156.0 | +4.5 | +1.2 | 0.74 | |
| →pH Level | 3.2 | 0.0 | 0.0 | 0.97 | |
| ↑Social Cohesion | 89.0 | +2.1 | -0.5 | 0.68 |
No result is permanent. Every QuadPixel carries a sunset — when it expires, its certainty decays to zero. Stale data is not trusted data.
The Aging Discount
As a reading ages toward its deprecation point, its effective certainty decays linearly. A measurement verified yesterday has higher effective certainty than one verified last month — even if the raw certainty score was identical.
